Data Ownership

Who Owns Your Data? You Do.

Your client data, your case files, your documents -- they belong to you. Always have, always will. Immicase will never claim ownership of your data or hold it hostage.

Our Data Ownership Promise

When you enter data into Immicase -- client profiles, case details, documents, notes, communications, invoices, or anything else -- that data is and remains your property. We are a data processor acting on your behalf, not a data owner.

Specifically, this means:

  • We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data
  • We do not sell, licence, or share your data with third parties for their own purposes
  • We do not use your data to train models, build products, or create aggregate datasets
  • We do not restrict your ability to access or export your data at any time
  • We do not charge fees for exporting your data

This commitment is reflected in our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. It is not just a marketing claim -- it is a contractual obligation.

Portability

Export Anytime, No Lock-In

Your data is always accessible and always portable.

Full Data Export

Export your entire database -- client profiles, case records, documents, notes, communications, and audit logs -- at any time, in standard formats like CSV, JSON, and PDF. No request required, no waiting period, no extra fees.

No Vendor Lock-In

We design Immicase to make it easy for you to leave if you choose to. Your data is stored in standard, portable formats. We never use proprietary encoding or data structures that would make migration difficult.

Open Formats

Exported data uses industry-standard formats. Client records and case data export as CSV or JSON. Documents export in their original file formats. Audit logs export as CSV with full timestamps and attribution.

API Access

Enterprise plan customers have full API access to programmatically retrieve all data from their Immicase account. Build custom integrations, run parallel systems, or migrate at your own pace.

What Happens if You Cancel

We understand that circumstances change. If you decide to cancel your Immicase subscription, here is exactly what happens:

During Your Remaining Billing Period

After you initiate cancellation, you retain full access to the Service for the remainder of your paid billing period. All features, exports, and data access continue to work normally.

30-Day Data Access Window

After your subscription ends, you have a 30-day grace period to log in and export your data. During this window, you can download all case files, client records, documents, and audit logs. You will not be able to create new records or make changes, but all export functionality remains available.

After the Grace Period

Once the 30-day grace period expires, your data is permanently and securely deleted from our systems, including all backups. This deletion is irreversible. We encourage you to complete your data export before this date.

Need More Time?

If you need additional time to complete your data migration, contact our support team. We are happy to extend the grace period on a case-by-case basis to ensure you have time to retrieve everything you need.

Our Commitment

No Surprises, No Games

Too many SaaS products make it easy to put data in but hard to get it out. We think that is wrong. Your immigration practice depends on your data, and you should never feel trapped by a software vendor. Whether you use Immicase for one month or ten years, your data is yours to take with you -- free of charge, free of friction.

Try Immicase with confidence

Your data is always yours. No lock-in, no surprises. See Immicase in action and decide for yourself.
